things have been going well :) jarred finally reaches my age next saturday (the 22nd)--EEP! i gotta buckle down and get his bday present together... i think i'm gonna work on that this friday tho on my day off :)

nothin HUGE has happened recently. no new job or anything. =(

but, at work i'm actually gonna start taking pictures of product and stuff. it's cool. i've already shot some paint bottles--hope they turn out ok! i'd love to have a job where all i do all day is take pictures...hah.

oh man and i'd LOOOVEEE a new point-and-shoot digital camera. i've had mine for...3 yrs now? i know that's not that long, but i guess in the "electronics world" it kinda is.  it seems like after 2 years things are kind of outdated, lol. i love my camera, but it's like a dinosaur now. it's huge and heavy. it takes 4 AA batteries LOL. my old digital camera that died right after the russia trip took a lithium battery which i loooooooved. then it died and i needed a new camera and ALL there was were cameras that only took AA batteries. there were no rechargeable lithium batteries anymore. WTF. i was so mad. but somehow, the AA batteries thing hasn't bugged me. they actually last for a while! but my camera is sooo big/bulky/heavy lol. i really do need a new one, but maybe i'll just wait it out until this one dies... kinda sad. i just love the pop-out, swivel screen thing my camera has... my fav feature! i'm gonna miss that. but damn, my friend just bought a digi camera that freakin goes underwater. wtf. and it was like $250. i feel like i'm so behind the times! lol.

anyyyyway. it was a good weekend. felt really long! but that could be b/c i got off work at like 2pm on thursday and didn't go in on friday. i'm part-time @ work again so i only work a certain amount of hours a week. i noticed on thursday that i was going over my hours so i left =( i mean, i was happy to go home duh, but it just sucks b/c i DO wanna continue working and making money. oh well.

and i dont call myself a drunk (i dont think you should if you drink once a week?) but geeez... thurs-sat i had at least 3 drinks each night. i guess it was boredom, haha. thursday all of us just hungout @ the house and watched the so you think you can dance finale (well, we mostly all just talked the whole time and looked @ the tv every once in a while). friday i went to this big boutique "blow-out sale" in decatur. pff. i mean, if youre rich then it's GREAT. but geez...i still didn't wanna pay $30 for a freakin t-shirt. some things were marked down 90% but it was still too much to pay haha. ridiculous. stupid boutiques. the clothes were cute tho. i felt like TRASH walking around there... everyone was all dolled up and pretty and i was semi-hungover, had cat hair on my free-from-a-friend shirt, messy un-washed hair... GROSS. i quickly walked outta there and went to my fav thrift store hahaha. i got a cute forever 21 shirt for $1.99 (prob what it's worth) and a Candie's dress for $5.99. YAY! the dress is cute =] i wore it on saturday to my friend's party!

soooooooo after all that shopping and stuff (going thru everyyy single item of clothing at last chance thrift store is exhaaauuusting) i hung around the house for a bit and got ready. that night we went to longhorn in covington for my family's dinner thing. i got to see a lottttta family members i havent seen in YEARS. so that was good. we were stuffed afterwards. ahhh. we finally got home at around 10:30 or so and had a couple of drinks and then headed over to kt's house. we hungout over there til like 3am and then finally came back home and went to sleep.

saturday we bummed around, ate @ los loros with jerm (it was quite an adventure there...they love us @ that place), then went to our friend's going away party =( our friend and her fiance are moving at the end of the month. BOOOOOO! it sucks. ughhh. but she'll be around for jarred and jerm's bday party on the 22nd. so yay =] it's gonna be sad when she leaves tho! grr. the party was nice, even though everyone decided they'd drink more than half of jarred's handle of expensive whiskey. =\ you know, when you ask if you can taste someone's drink, that's fine, we're polite and we're like, "yes, try some, it's good." but then when you actually continue to pour and pour and pour yourself a drink outta our bottle we brought for ourselves? that's rude. ppl (who we don't know--we only knew like 4 ppl at the party) were acting like we supplied the liqour for the party (i brought one of my almost-gone bottles of rum and jarred brought his new bottle). i mean, there was beer GALORE (the ppl who live @ the house brew their own beer for cryin outloud) but nooooo... all of a sudden all these self-proclaimed beer drinkers want the hard stuff! lol. i mean it was fine @ first but ppl kinda took advantage. it sucked. we don't have money to throw around and i feel so bad for jarred b/c he didn't even get to drink any of it (he had this other stuff he was drinking first, and never got around to what he brought). it just pissed me off... you know? rude. when ppl ask me if i want to try something, i usually TRY a sip/bite and that's it. i dont just keep taking some... ppl are usually just being polite and offering it and to me it's rude to take it! blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. OH and usually it's a known thing that if ppl "bring their own beer" to a party, they keep it in the paper bag it comes in and it's just kinda a known thing that it's theirs only haha, right? so we had our stuff in the bag, on the counter (which was the bad thing--we shoulda put it in the fridge) w/ everything else... and we kinda closed up the bag when we were done with it. well, like an hour later we go back in the house and the bag is GONE and our stuff is just out on the counter. i was like, "uhh.. where's our bag for our stuff??" b/c it's a pain toting that crap around w/o a bag. GEEZ. what's wrong with ppl. i THEN took our stuff and put it to the side like on the floor and outta the way and later i heard someone like, "HEY! where's those bottles of rum and whiskey??" UGH. really people? drink your nasty beer. =P i wouldnt be like this if it were our friends, but strangers...ugh.  other than that frustration, the party was good. lol. the party host did a good job with the snacks, music and decor. it was cute :)

anyway, yesterday we laid around the house.  had fruit for dinner. yumm. watched true blood--one of our new fav shows.

sorryyy for the big rant haha. now i'm ready to stop here and moveeeeeee on to somethin else--work, i suppose! ;)

oh and we're goin to seinfeld trivia tonight w/ some friends. i'm so excited! the only seinfeld trivia i've ever done is the game Scene it. and we're really good @ that b/c we're seinfeld freaks. i really hope we win tonight! i kinda think we will :D
