my birthday :)

this year i turned the big 2-5! ugh. haha. it was a nice bday though.

last friday my mom came to visit me (i was off work). she took me to get my hair cut @ this salon i just started going to. it was my 2nd time there and i had the same stylist. i love her! she did a great job =) i got half an inch off the bottom and then tons of layers throughout. my hair needed it big time!  i'm trying to grow it out really long... we'll see how that goes.  it had been since august since my last haircut, and she said that she was surprised b/c my hair looked really healthy for it to be that long, so YAY that's good to hear.  but anyway, she made my hair all nice and straight and pretty. i loveeeeeeeeeeee it.  i think in a few months i'm gonna go back and get a trim and some BANGS. lol. i just want long, side ones for right now b/c i'm too scared to take the plunge.  but she and i talked about it so she knows that we'll just take it one step at a time :]

so that was awesome! then my mom and i went to the mall.  so i thought i lovedddddddd the mall we went to, but i was sooo disappointed. ugh.  i REALLY wanted to go to forever 21 but this mall doesnt have it ;( all the forever 21s around me are like a 30 min drive. it's stupid.  oh well.  we seriously went in almost every single store TWICE. how dumb is that?? but i honestly couldnt find ANYTHING. hahaha.  i went just to find a cute dress to wear for my bday "party" and who knew that'd be such a big task.  jarred really wanted to take friday off to go with us (b/c his present to me was a cute spring outfit so he was gonna buy whatever i got at the mall) but his stupid work wouldnt let him b/c it was 1 of the 2 days outta the month no one is allowed to take off =( our luck!  soooo he gave me money pretty much for a lil shopping spree if you wanna call it that, hehe, so that was sweet of him. but i was sad he couldnt go.  buttttttttttttttttt i'm kind of glad he didn't now b/c i think he would have killed me =X LOL. my mom is very patient.  we felt like we were DYING after we got "done" shopping. i mean, it wasn't THAT bad, haha, but it was bad... it was the type of thing only a mother/daughter could do together. =)

SO, we went to allllllllll these stores. nothing.  dresses were either TOO dressy or not dressy enough.  @ forever 21 i know i woulda been able to find the dress there. just a simple, cute, flowy summer/spring dress. simple. everything @ the mall was either "clubbin' clothes" or easter dresses, lmao. so the last store on the list was macy's. we almost didn't go in there b/c i thought they'd just have super expensive stuff, but nope! they had lotsa dresses i was looking for! the first one i picked out ended up being the one i bought, yay =) i kinda knew it was the one i wanted when i saw it and it fit perfectly, so there ya go. the end.

then it was... SHOE TIME! my dress had a bunch of colors in it... but no black or "normal" colors and the white was sorta an off-white. so this is when we went to every store again... to find shoes. no luck. a red canvas shoe did not exist. then we went on to white shoes... nothing. either too dressy or too casual. wtf.

we gave up and went home. thankfully jarred got off work on time so we met him @ our house, picked him up and went to my bday dinner! we went to this italian place in decatur.  i've been there w/ jarred once before... it's sort of new.  my dad showed up like 10 mins after we did.  the food was really good! we had lotsa leftovers, yay =) then we all shared some cannolis, mmmm.

then we parted ways. jarred and i went to target to look for shoes and a purse for my dress. NOTHING! no one has shoes or a purse to match! my dress has sooooo many colors, but nothing matches.  who knew.  BUT they did have these shoes that coulda went with the dress, but they had a big black mark on the side =( ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

well anyway, friday was fun w/ my mom. but by night time i was exhausted, haha. we ended up just hangin around the house, relaxing. =]

then it was SATURDAYYYYYYYYYYY! =D the day we had all been waiting for allllllllllll week. =) we got up, ate leftover italian food, took it easy for a bit, then i finally got my butt out there to look for shoes again LOL. i went to a different target next to the mall we went to the day before to see if they had those shoes i wanted to try on (w/o a black mark lol). they did, but the size was way too big. plus, i had my dress with me, and it looked ridiculous together. so target was a bust. before i went to target i went to this really shitty mall by our house... they had some stuff i guess, but nothing good...

my last choice, where i said i HAD to find something, was shoe land.  my friend had just told me to go there and luckily on friday i noticed we had one by the mall.  so i went there... FOUND SOME SHOES! i didnt even look @ the price for some reason. but when they rung up, she was like, "$11." LOL. i was shocked. so cheap. i was happy. no purse tho =( that sucked.  but it was like 3:30 at this point and i had to hurry and get home b/c some ppl said they were comin to the house @ like 4:30.

sigh... so i got home all excited =) jarred loved my dress and everything, hehe. then i was running around crazy trying to get ready. i showered and everyyyyyyyyything and was ready by like 4:30, yay! i even painted my toenails :D

during all of that lindsey and josh gave me a bday present which was really nice of them.  i didnt want anyone to get me anything! i just wanted ppl to hangout and stuff.  but they gave me this really cute card (it was really for a 2 yr old, they drew in the number 5, haha) with an elephant on it (b/c i love elephants) anddd they gave me a victoria's secret giftcard!!! so sweet. =)

sooooooo then it was finallllly dinner time =D natalie came over lookin all purdy and we all piled into my car and went to los loros. becky was already there waiting on us. then a couple more ppl showed up before we sat down.  for a while it was just about 10 ppl @ the table (we got a table for 20) and then in like 30-minute intervals different groups of ppl would trickle in.  i guess at around 7 everybody had arrived. a buncha ppl didnt come who said they were, so that was sad, but blah o well =( i guess it's good i only asked for a table of 20 (30 ppl were slated to come) b/c we woulda had a buncha empty seats!! once we filled up the big table, my friend jacy and her friends showed up but they had to sit @ a booth near us =( blah. i was so glad she came tho!!!

everything was a lotta fun though!!! =D i got to see a buncha my good friends, so i was happy.  we were there for sooooooo long... i was expecting we'd be there from 5-8, but it ended up being like 9:30 or 10 when we left!!! crazyyyyyyyyyy. and lindsey, brittany and hayley ordered 3 large pitchers of margaritas btwn themselves. that's insane!! LOL. brittany ended up getting sick and i guess that's why =(

somehow, everybody except for 3 ppl came back to our house! i wasn't expecting that at ALL. then rachel and laura's friend sara came over.  rachel gave me pretty roses and a card!! so sweet =] dave then gave me a big bottle of rum, haha, my favorite.  oh and jarred got me a bottle of CROWN! i racked up ;P

we stayed at the house for a lil bit, drinkin and singing/dancing.  kt and i got to sing and dance to the new kelly cd, hahaha, it was awesome :P well then it was like 11 or something and we decided it was time to go out! i had to run throughout the house over and over trying to count how many ppl we had so we could see how many taxis to round up.  20 ppl! but then 5 dropped out b/c of age reasons (3 were underage, and so 2 ppl stayed behind with them) ;( that sucked.  we were gonna get 2 vans, but then a buncha ppl offered to drive, so that was awesome!!

we ended up just going to graveyard in east atl. an old favorite. recently graveyard has been really cool w/ the music and stuff... plus everyone knew how to get there and it's really easy/quick to get to, so yeah. we were gonna go to mary's at some point to sing karaoke, but i guess we forgot haha.  we stayed @ graveyard til they kicked us out.  then we all went to krystal! mmmmmmmmmm. =) then it was bed time. 

it was suchhhhhhhhhhhhh a fun night.  i danced with kt and natalie @ graveyard for soooo long that my legs were killing me the next day! we had a blast! it was awesome seeing kt and nat again b/c it had been since the cabin trip since i got to really hangout w/ them. i didddd see natalie when amanda came to visit, but i felt like a barely did.

ah, so yeah. i'm 25 now. boooo. haha.

oh! on my actual bday we just took it easy all day, it was nice! then we went to graveyard for a late dinner w/ jerm, josh s, josh j, and lindsey. that was funnn. we kinda had to go to graveyard b/c jeremy left his card there from the night before =X haha. their food is soo good, but so expensive. i wish that place would just make everything $1 less. ugh. i remember when they were cheap... like 3 yrs ago!

so anywayy... then i came into work on monday and my desk was all decorated for my bday!! it was awesome! :D it really made my day. and kia gave me some purdy roses =) aww. ppl have been SO sweet this year. <3

ahh.. my car is in some MAJOR need for a cleaning.  i have leftover "shopping spree money" from jarred haha so we're gonna take my car to get it cleaned sooooooon.

hmm what else is goin on... so i can make this entry EVEN LONGER. lol.

guess i didn't write about this, but amanda came to visit a few weeks ago!! it was fun! we picked her up at the airport and then went and played trivia @ mellow mushroom. we were TERRIBLE. then we went back to the house to hangout for a lil bit but then she had to leave =( booo.  after we dropped her off we ended up going to the lesbian bar in east atlanta (lol our friend was in town and wanted to go there) and some of us did karaoke.  that place was DEAD. but it was kinda late.

well anyway, i think this is enough. i cant believe how much i typed.  but i'm @ work and honestly this feels like it only took me like 10 mins to type, so w/e!
